Arabic Belly Dancer

An Arabic Belly Dancer is not like other dancers who just appeals to the sexual arousal in the males. It is basically about mastering the moves of this dance and at the same time feeling comfortable and confident about your performance. If your are considering this as only an erotic dance then you are lacking knowledge about the other aspects of this dance.
Mastery at Basic Moves:

The right knee should be slightly raised and the right hip should snap upward. Then lower the right knee with immediate raising of the left knee, and making he left hip snap upward. These steps constitute the shimmy.

The belly dancer has options either to shimmy on one side or both sides alternatively.
